Part of being a fully devoted follower of Christ means that you are willing to tell others what you believe and why you believe it. Jesus Christ Himself commanded us to spread the Gospel.”Now if there is one thing I have learned over the years from spreading the Gospel and defending my faith, it is that people who love their sin more than God will do anything to reject the God of the Bible” (Mark 16:15). I have been reflecting on the different ways people go about doing this and have written down a few of their tactics.
Okay, I am not really great at using Twitter, but I had an interesting conversation this past Friday with a young lady named Paula that I thought I should share with you. It all started when I stated that “faith” is a foundation for reasoning, not the end of it. Well, don’t ever try to tell an atheist that statement unless you are ready for a tongue lashing; or in this case a twitter attack. Yes, I was up late and my wife wished I was in bed! Perhaps this will help someone else.
I am incredibly thrilled about the progress of the ministry lately. Suffice to say, the Lord is blessing. Our “Creation Today Show” is being seen by thousands across the internet each week; and viewers are more than enthusiastic about our monthly live question-and-answer webcasts. We’re reaching people; and that’s exciting!
Too many recent blogs about the writers’ difficulties make my walk with God look like a walk in the park. It just wouldn’t be right not to share these with you. I am not saying that I don’t have struggles, that I don’t face challenges. But when I compare my life and my circumstances to what others are going through—wow, have I got it made!
For fun the other day I twittered this question: How many questions will Science never answer?
I will never forget watching as my Dad debated Michael Shermer in Debate #20 of our debate series. I was blown away at my Dad’s ability to shut down his arguments and mount an onslaught of offense that Mr. Shermer was never able to overcome. If you have watched this debate, you will know what I am talking about.
Creationists hear this type of argument all the time, “What have creationists done for science?” I remember researching this a while back and coming across a list from www.creationinfo.com/list.htm. I wanted to simply list it out here in this blog for you to see. Feel free to go to the article and to the rest of their site to see what is happening over there.
My son was watching Dora the explorer this morning and they went to fairytale land. The magic words you had to say to get there were “once upon a time.” Once inside fairytale land, just about anything can happen. Poor Boots ate the banana from the Wicked Witch and fell fast asleep. The only way to wake up sleeping Boots was to have a princess give him a hug.
