Chinese Language Goes Back to Genesis

Eric Hovind October 8th, 2010

The Discovery of Genesis

You may say that I am reading between the lines here, but the evidence gathered to show that the Chinese language goes back to Genesis is astonishing. The research began in the 1920′s and 30′s by Pastor C. H. Kang. It was during a hospital visit with a very intelligent woman that Pastor Kang was confronted with the theory of evolution. Feeling embarrassed that he did not have the scientific evidence to show support for the Creation account, Pastor Kang remembered a footnote in a Mandarin textbook that was used by a missionary. The Chinese character for the word “ship” was a combination of three symbols; vessel, eight, and mouth. Putting these three characters together formed the word “boat.” Over the next 40 years, the research and thoughts would be put into book form and today the book The Discovery of Genesis contains dozens of examples of how the truths of Genesis are found hidden in the Chinese language.

Discerning Truth

After finishing The Ultimate Proof by Dr. Jason Lisle, I ordered his new book Discerning Truth to see if it had some more good info about debating. You will not be disappointed as you learn to expose some of the major problems in evolutionary thinking. Discerning Truth takes you on a short but effective journey into the laws of logic.

By Design or By Chance?

RC Helicopter and the bacterial flagellum

It took me five minutes of coaxing my wife to get her to see the value of our family’s first RC helicopter for the kids. (When I say “kids.” I mean me. :-)

Redemption Is Eternal

Eric Hovind September 22nd, 2010

During a Home School Family Camp this September, I had the opportunity to play paintball with the campers. After several rounds of capture the flag, team elimination and just plain fun, we ended the afternoon with a game called “Moose.” In Moose, two people are chosen to be “eternal” (they cannot be eliminated), and they have to take out all the other players before the game is over. It was fun when I was “eternal” because I knew that I could never be taken out. Even if the other player hit me, it didn’t matter—I was not going to stop until they were “dead.”

Attacking the Atheists Foundation on the streets

Eric Hovind September 20th, 2010

God commands us to close the mouths of unbelievers.

Have you ever had a conversation with an atheist that never seemed to get anywhere? How do you close the mouth of an unbeliever? To open their minds to see their own foolishness? Two months ago, Chad from Living Waters ministries had never considered the idea of challenging someone’s assumptions instead of challenging the evidence that they present. After watching the “Proving God” series on www.creationtoday.org, Chad got the book The Ultimate Proof by Dr. Jason Lisle and read it in one day! Within two months of studying how the atheist really thinks and what God says about that, Chad had an opportunity to put his study into practice on the streets against an atheist. By the end of the conversation, God had used Chad to “close the mouth” of the unbeliever and show him exactly what is necessary for salvation.

Everything came from “NOTHING”?

In his latest book The Grand Design, Steven Hawking writes, “Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the Universe exists, why we exist.”
