I remember the first time I was asked the dreaded question in a public arena. I had flown out to California to speak in the large Calvary Chapel of about 4,000 people, with a question-and-answer time afterwards. I had just spoken on lies in the textbooks and covered the idea that vestigial organs are not proof of evolution. After answering several questions, it was an outspoken evolutionist in the back of the auditorium that raised his hand and asked the dreaded question:
You certainly don’t have to be involved in Creation Ministry apologetics for long before you start getting questions about distant starlight. Recently, we had the privilege of having Dr. G Charles Jackson in studio for a couple of Creation Today episodes. In between shots, he sat down and gave us a brief explanation of a theory put forth by Dr. Russell Humphreys. Let me know what you think.
If any of you guys ever had the privilege of visiting us when Dinosaur Adventure Land was open or, perhaps, you’ve been to one of our local meetings in your area, you’ve most likely seen us make and shoot these amazing paper airplanes. Well, we decided to put together some kits along with a DVD so that you can take it home and make some of your very own. You can watch this youtube video now and see me give a demonstration of how it’s done. This is just too much fun to keep to ourselves any longer! I hope you enjoy!!
With all the hype that is surrounding Bill Nye the Science Guy recently, I had to throw my two cents into the ring.
October is just around the corner and we’ve got a LOT of work to do to prepare for the upcoming Proof of God Conference in Orlando, Florida. Now, some of you might be wondering, “What in the world could they possibly mean by the ‘Proof of God’?” Well, this first video is a brief discussion I had with Jason Lisle recently that might help give you a little insight into some of the things that we’ll be discussing at the conference. Check it out…
You know, I never stopped to think of it like this before. We have been fooled by semantics. If we know that: Marriage is defined by God as a union between a man and a woman, then why did we ever let the phrase “gay marriage” take off? In reality there is no such thing. It’s an oxymoron. It’s like saying dry water or bitter sugar. It started to dawn on me when our editor wrote me a little note about a recent blog that I published about the Chick-fil-a story. She wrote:
After finishing my meal last night at Chick-fil-A with my family, we had a chance to talk with the owner’s wife. She told us some of the facts about how much food they had gone through and how they were running all over the place trying to get more food to feed the people that were coming to support them. Sitting across from me was Steve, our social media manager at Creation Today. He had been there earlier during the lunch rush, if you can even call it a rush. When the line stays out the door all day long, is there really one part of the day that you can call a rush? Anyway, while he was there for lunch, he saw that someone was protesting in a unique way outside Chick-fil-A. They wore a cow costume and brandished a sign that read “God hates fags.” We asked her how corporate policy advised them to handle the protester and she replied that they simply were going to love them. She told us that they had gone out and offered free food and water to the person protesting.
She was saved about 4 1/2 years ago. Shortly after, she saw the videotapes on creation vs. evolution. They blew her away—literally. She’d attended a liberal university, and hearing all the scientific facts about the age of the earth really enlightened her to the truth of God’s word.
