Bread can strengthen your heart

Dr. Kent Hovind January 4th, 2011

The Bible says that bread strengthens the heart (see Psalms 104:14-15). In modern times, however, in order to keep bread lasting longer, Vitamin E, Lecithin, and the Omega 3 fatty acids are removed from the wheat and replaced with white flour. Now, bread can last for months. Subsequently, more and more people are dying from heart attacks and circulation problems.

New Year, New You

Kyle Winkler January 3rd, 2011

One of my favorite pastimes is standing at the ocean shore, watching the thundering breakers crash into the sand; or singing worship songs under a full moon that glimmers upon the vast waters of the sea. These times remind me of the majesty of my Creator. They put into perspective the awesomeness of God who measures the waters in His palms and the universe with the breadth of His hand (see Isaiah 40:12). My God, who am I that you would even think of me (see Psalm 8:4)?

Government Master Card

Eric Hovind December 15th, 2010

I just love the new Government Master Card. It is a great way to get a conversation started about the truth of Godonomics. An economy not based on God’s ways inevitably leads to problems.

How I Know God Exists?

Eric Hovind December 10th, 2010

As we street witness, we often notice that Christians have a very hard time defending their faith. Many stutter, trip over their words, or have long, awkward silences. When caught of guard, our reasoning for our belief in God may be “I just have faith” or “that’s how I was raised.” We think that we need to be able to give better answers than that.

Fossils don’t talk!

Dr. Kent Hovind December 8th, 2010

Generally, the process of how fossils form is not in dispute. The questions of when they formed and how long it takes to fossilize are what is debated. Here are some basic points to remember.

Lie – “When you die, you cease to exist”

Dr. Kent Hovind December 7th, 2010

This is one of the most dangerous lies textbooks teach. God created the universe and left us a record of how and why He did it. You were created by an all-wise Creator and you will live forever in Heaven or Hell. All humans have broken God’s laws by lying, cheating, stealing, etc. Being a just and holy God, He cannot simply overlook our sins. Either we must be punished by going to Hell forever or we must accept the perfect substitute God provided in Jesus Christ.

How did animals travel from all over the world to get to the Ark?

Dr. Kent Hovind December 6th, 2010

This question assumes that the world before the flood was like the world is today with animals specialized for certain areas. Today the world is 70% water and the oceans separate the continents. Also, some animals only live in a few selected locations. The Bible teaches that before the flood the water was gathered into one place (Genesis 1:9). There was probably one ocean and much more landmass. Also, if the climate was more temperate, animals could live in all types of places, which means Noah did not have to go gather animals from all over the world. In fact, the Bible says that the animals came to Noah (Genesis 6:20).

Hasn’t the geologic column been found in many places?

Dr. Kent Hovind December 1st, 2010

Although textbooks imply that it is found uniformly in geology, it doesn’t exist in 99% of the earth. Some will argue with that and say that it has been found in the right order in twenty-six places. But, these claims are based solely on index fossils. “Index fossils” are fossils of life-forms that evolutionists think lived only briefly in geologic time. They use them to identify the ages of layers. These fossils have been found in the supposed order in those twenty-six places, but they are in the wrong order in tens of thousands of places throughout the earth! Since there are only about twelve layers of rock in the so-called column, the statistics of just random shuffling could make them appear in any order twenty-six times out of ten thousand.
