Possum, Redwood Tree, and Kidney Bean: “Our Ancestors”
A Spoof on Evolution Theory
The theory of evolution teaches that living things are becoming more complex as time progresses. Because the chromosomes in living matter are one of the most complex bits of matter in the known universe, it would seem logical to assume that organisms with the least number of chromosomes were the first ones to evolve and those with the most chromosomes are the end result of millions of years of evolution experimenting to increase complexity in living organisms. From the chart, it is “obvious” that we all started off as penicillin with only 2 chromosomes, and that we slowly evolved into fruit flies. After many millions of years we turned into tomatoes (or house flies) and so on, until we reached the human stage with 46 chromosomes. One of our ancestors must have been one of the identical triplets—possums, redwood trees, and kidney beans—with 22 chromosomes each.
Because Daddy Said So
At lunch today the topic of “Contradictions in the Bible” came up. It was so tempting to get into each and every one of the supposed contradictions and defend them one by one, but there was a deeper issue at stake. The real issue was, “Is God’s word our Authority?” I was amazed as the conversation kept coming back to that very issue. What is even more interesting is that EVERY conversation will keep coming back to that one issue! Whether you are speaking with someone about radioactive dating or the moon landing, the fundamental question we must examine first is, “Is God’s word our Authority?” Sounds strange, doesn’t it. What would that question have to do with radioactive dating? The short end of it is that our thoughts themselves, our senses that observe our world, and our very ability to reason prove that the Christian God of the Bible exists!
10 Questions for Evolutionists
The test of any theory is whether or not it provides answers to basic questions. Some well-meaning, but misguided people think evolution is a reasonable theory to explain man’s questions about the universe. Evolution is not a good theory—it is just a pagan religion masquerading as science.

Help! I’m being taught evolution. What can I do?
Q: Dr. Hovind, I’m in ninth grade earth science class, and my teacher is already pushing evolution on us very hard. What can I do? I believe the Bible account of creation. Please help me!

How do you know?
Uncommon Sense
Presuppositional Apologetics: It’s an area of thought I’ve been studying and am thinking of calling it uncommon sense from now on. The more I study it, the more I realize that it is just that—uncommon sense!

Incentive
I have been thinking a lot about our Government and the economy from watching “Godonomics” with Chad Hovind. Godonomics is about more than just economics, party lines and where we as a nation are headed. It makes a strong case for incentive as well. Why do we work? Why do we do anything, for that matter? It all comes down to incentive. Some people have asked me: “Why do you travel and preach?” Well, even in God’s spiritual economy, it comes down to incentive. I look forward to the day when the Master Himself says, “Well done, good and faithful servant! Come and share your master’s happiness!” (Matthew 25:21)
